Smartpick SDK is ART4L's core development toolbox, available for development partners. Design, build and deploy applications for any Android device for connected operators, or connect to other industry standard solutions and IoT systems. Smartpick SDK's modular design allows clear separation between connectivity, business process and presentation.
A library of connectors, business flows and components lets developers connect devices and operators in no time.
BPMN Business Flows at the core
Use the standardized BPMN business process notation to design and analyze your workflows. Using full WYSIWYG support, you can get going immediately .. and it's not just a pretty picture: Smartpick SDK actually executes your BPMN designs in its Flow Engine, so there is no programming involved to make them run on actual devices. Smartpick SDK comes with a library of standard BPMN designs for typical logistic flows.
Smartpick I/O: Universal connectivity
Don't be limited by legacy or data format
Send and retrieve data from any back-end system and any data source. The Smartpick SDK I/O component has a wide range of customizable data exchange options, from modern APIs to legacy existing Telnet/Putty solutions. Connecting to your existing systems will require minimal effort.
Augmented reality: supported.
Seamlessly integrate true augmented reality where you need it
The Smartpick SDK TILES app runs on any Android device and is the interaction part with the end-user. It visualizes the processed information coming from the central Flow Engine, adapted to the properties and capabilities of the user device. We support Smart glasses, Projection Systems, Tablets, Wrist Computers, Smart Watches etc.
Flexibility where you need it
You should not be limited to single type of device. Be it Smart glasses for augmented reality, hand scanners, voice solutions, projectors or tablets: Smartpick SDK can transition between devices based on your needs, without re-programming.
Designed for Business & IT Fusion
The layered architecture is ideal for iterative fast agile development:
BPMN flows for business logic on the Flow Engine
Data connector for interaction with other systems
TILES environment for (visual) user interaction
Scalable & Mission Critical
From 10 to 10.000 users
The layered architecture of Smartpick based on Industry standards is highly scalable and supports high availability setups. It can run on a single, small server or be scaled up for redundancy & failover.
Tried and tested
We 'eat our own dogfood'
ART4L uses Smartpick SDK for all client projects and packaged products. We are dedicated to providing top-quality software for our partners and clients. Have a look at the use-cases to see some examples of implementations.
Smartpick SDK key benefits
Agile builds & deploys
Start by designing your business flow, without the need to think about software or programming.
Changes to the business flow can be done on the fly, without the need to change code.
Exchange data with any system
Smartpick I/O connects to any standard WMS/ERP API, including screen-scraping interaction with legacy character based systems.
Smartpick I/O also connects to other IoT systems to allow integration into the working environment of connected operators.
Interact with any device
The Smartpick TILES app on the Android devices is device-aware. TILES runs on any Android device and adapts the UIX (User Interface and Experience) for the different types of devices.

This policy explains what information we collect when you use ART4L’s sites, services, mobile applications, products, and content (“Services”). It also has information about how we store, use, transfer, and delete that information.
Information We Collect & How We Use It
ART4L doesn’t make money from ads. We don’t collect data in order to advertise to you. The tracking we do at ART4L is to make our product work as well as possible. To give you the best possible experience in using ART4L sites, we collect information from your interactions with our Services. Some of this information, you actively tell us (such as your email address, which we use to track your account or communicate with you). Other information, we collect based on actions you take while using ART4L, such as what pages you view (including how much of a given page and for how long). This information includes records of those interactions, your Internet Protocol address, information about your device (such as device or browser type), and referral information (how you got to a particular page).
We use this information to:
• provide, test, improve, promote and personalize the Services
• fight spam and other forms of abuse
• generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how people use the Services
ART4L won’t transfer information about you to third parties for the purpose of providing or facilitating third-party advertising to you. We won’t sell information about you to a third-party.
We may transfer your account information with third parties in some circumstances, including: (1) with your consent; (2) to a service provider or partner who meets our data protection standards; (3) with academic or non-profit researchers, with aggregation, anonymization, or pseudonymization; (4) when we have a good faith belief it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other legal process; (5) when we have a good faith belief that doing so will help prevent imminent harm to someone.
If we are going to share your information in response to legal process, we’ll give you notice so you can challenge it (for example by seeking court intervention), unless we’re prohibited by law or believe doing so may endanger others or cause illegal conduct. We will object to legal requests for information about users of our services that we believe are improper.
ART4L uses third-party vendors and hosting partners, such as Combell and Strikingly, for hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology we need to run ART4L. We maintain two types of logs: server logs and event logs. By using the Services, you authorize ART4L to transfer, store, and use your information in the EU and any other country/region where we operate.
Some of the content that you see displayed on ART4L is not hosted by ART4L. These “embeds” are hosted by a third-party and embedded in a ART4L page, so that it appears to be part of that page. For example: YouTube or Vimeo videos, GitHub code snippets, or Scribd documents that appear within a ART4L post. These files send data to the hosted site just as if you were visiting that site directly (for example, when you load a ART4L post page with a YouTube video embedded in it, that video appears because of a pointer to files hosted by YouTube, and in turn YouTube receives data about your activity, such as your IP address and how much of the video you watch).
Tracking & Cookies
We use browser cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you return to our Services. We use them in various ways, for example remember your preferences (such as default language), evaluate email effectiveness, personalize content and other services.
We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data transmitted to and from our site. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee security. You use the Service at your own risk, and you’re responsible for taking reasonable measures to secure your account.
Email from ART4L
Sometimes we’ll send you emails. You can opt out of non-administrative emails such as digests, newsletters, and activity notifications.
When you interact with an email sent from ART4L (such as opening an email or clicking on a particular link in an email), we may receive information about that interaction.
Changes to this Policy
ART4L may periodically update this Policy. We’ll notify you about significant changes to it.
We welcome feedback about this policy at email@example.com.
